FAQ

  • what type of extensions do you do?

i am trained in multiple methods, but i primarily do hidden beaded row methods on most of my clients. an invisible track of beads is installed and handtied or microwefts are sewn into the rows. there is typically 1-3 rows on your head. they look super natural and the amount of hair, colors, textures, etc are all customized for each clients hair type and density for the most comfortable and natural result. i also offer v lights and ktips, which i will sometimes recommend adding in combination with the wefts for certain clients, depending on their hair type and specific needs.

  • what type of hair do you use?

i use various types of premium hand tied hair and microwefts, which are available in a multitude of textures. we will choose which type of hair works best with your lifestyle and natural texture during your consultation.

  • i have short hair, can i still get extensions?

your hair must be at least shoulder length, with your layers being at least down to your chin to ensure that they look natural! i can better help you with this by you filling out the application if you aren’t sure if you are a candidate!

  • can i wear my hair up in a ponytail?

YES! that is one of the many benefits to this method! no more worrying about your extensions showing! the placement of the wefts allows you to comfortably throw it up in a high pony or bun.

  • what products can i use on my extensions?

you will need to use a sulfate free, moisturizing shampoo & conditioner and then a hydrating mask every 2-3 washes. you will also need a good leave-in conditioner, and hydrating oil. i carry 2 different great lines in my studio that are perfect for extensions and i will provide you with a product starter kit with your initial install to get you started. a detailed product and maintenance guide will also be provided at your install appointment with helpful tips on taking care of your new hair!

  • how often do i have to get new hair?

blonde hair will generally need to be replaced a little sooner than brunette, as it has been processed more. most clients can expect their hair to last 7-10 months for blondes and 9-12 months for brunettes. most clients can just swap out a couple new wefts at a time towards the end of its lifespan to keep it fresh and more cost effective. the longevity of the wefts will greatly depend on how well the hair was taken care of. it can last longer than these estimates if it is well maintained, or it may need to be replaced sooner if it wasn’t taken care of!

  • are these extensions hard to take care of?

i have wore many types of extensions over the last 20 years, and these are by far the easiest to take care of and the most comfortable IMO! i provide each client with a great maintenance guide, video tutorials and helpful styling tips at your appointments to ensure you can easily take care of them at home!
